Founded in 2012, NachNation previously called Aaja Nachle was created by Uma Kapoor to bring Bollywood dance fusion to anyone and everyone.
We blend Bollywood, folk, and contemporary influences with theatrical storytelling to create unique performances. We create our own costumes, our own music, and our own props to ensure a cohesive vision is being brought to life every time we perform.
At NachNation, we're more like a family. We aim to support every individual inside and outside of dance with empathy and love.
Whether stepping into a studio for the first time or preparing for the stage, every dancer becomes part of a supportive community where they are encouraged to grow as performers, leaders, and individuals.

UMA KAPOOR
Founder & Artistic Director
Uma Kapoor is an award-winning choreographer and artistic director celebrated for her unique ability to blend creative movement and .
Her training in Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Bollywood and contemporary styles inspired her to create Nach Nation. Before her career in dance, she acted as a management consultant at TCS and received an MBA from S.I.B.M Pune. Her true passion for dance and theatre has been lauded by India's top newspaper The Hindu and many publications.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS
Mitali Tamhane
Choreographer & Instructor
Mitali Tamhane is a fashion professional, blending her passion for style with a deep-rooted love for dance. She has been training in Bharatanatyam for over two decades, having received her initial training in Pune, India. Since 2017, she has continued her artistic growth under the mentorship of Guru Uma Kapoor.

As a lead dancer with Nach Nation’s adult competitive team, Mitali has brought to life key roles in several dance dramas and now serves as an instructor for the group’s youth and adult teams. As part of Nach Nation’s wholesome curriculum initiative, she helps with building a strong foundation of classical dance. Mitali is also a certified NachFit instructor.
Kavya Kapoor
Choreographer & Instructor
Kavya is currently a college student at Northeastern University. At the age of six, she began her dance training under the instruction of Uma Kapoor. In her dance journey of 10 years, Kavya has won innumerable dance competitions and danced many various styles. Recently, Kavya received a high gold for her solo and won first place for her duet at Starbound National Talent Competition.

Kavya is an instructor for the nano/minor team and junior/senior team, and frequent dancer on NachNation Youtube videos as well as lead dancer for NachNation's Elite Team.
